Buenos Aires, Dec. 31 (NA) – Judge Julieta Makintach, dismissed after the impeachment process that removed her from the judiciary for her role in the trial over the death of Diego Maradona, ended the year with posts referring to a “difficult” 2025, although she noted she holds no grudges against the outgoing year. According to posts accessed by Noticias Argentina agency, the magistrate shared black-and-white aesthetic photos, showing her in a white dress, accompanied by the English phrase: “I don’t hate you 2025, but you were a difficult year full of challenges.” In a second image, Makintach expanded on her reflection, thanking the year “for showing me valuable people, true friendships, and noble bonds,” while contrasting those ties with “any appearance of success, lies, hypocrisy, inherited vocation, a degree or doctorate ignored, dead with sadness on a wall.”
The posts came days before the Jury of Impeachment resolved her dismissal, finding she had committed irregularities during the judicial process investigating criminal liability for Maradona's death. Before the verdict, the judge had stated she needed “peace for her family.” Ultimately, the impeachment proceeded with her removal, ending her career in the judiciary.
